This
course is designed for law enforcement officers and
K-9 Units to learn and evaluate tracking techniques
which will lead to the apprehension of armed and
dangerous fugitives. An arduous and taxing course
which teaches: Land Navigation, Man Tracking
Techniques, Dog Team Formations, Tactical/Cover Team
Movement, Cover/Concealment and Camouflage, Line and
Road March Formations, Officer Safety Issues,
Identifying and Crossing Danger Areas, Team Hand-Offs,
Rally Points, Nonverbal Communications, Proper Law
Enforcement Identification in a Tactical Environment.
This is a mentally and physically stressful course.

Reconnaissance Swimmer/SRT-SWAT 3 DAYS
This class will teach the SRT/SWAT Scout Swimmer more
proficient and comfortable swimming techniques in
waterborne/maritime environments. This basic scout
swimmer course emphasizes water safety, swimmer
assessment by way of an initial swim test and pool
training. Swimming and finning techniques are taught
with and without SRT/SWAT equipment. The participant
is schooled in equipment selection, waterproofing,
infiltration and exfiltration, casting and recovering
from a Zodiac boat. This confidence building course
is followed by a mental and physical exercise in
negotiating water obstacles. All training is
conducted in the Atlantic Ocean and Cape Fear River on
site at Fort Fisher, North Carolina.
